Measuring purlin or timber batten spacing / distance
A guide on how to measure the distance between your battens / purlins.
To ensure your Onduline sheets are long lasting, you need a suitable roof structure.
When installing on purlins, it is important the distance between the purlins / timber battens is inline with Onduline's fixing instructions. Please see Installation Guides and select the product installation guide for your roofing sheets for guidance on the distance required.
To measure the spacing, please measure from underneath the roof area.
For accuracy, please measure top-to-top of all support as shown in figure F. For example if the below measurements are between 44cm-47cm, the purlin spacing will be “47cm”.
