BARDOLINE DETAIL STRIP Installation
Asphalt Shingle roll for protecting the eaves and ridges of your roof structure
BARDOLINE DETAIL STRIP is an asphalt shingle roll is a bitumen based detail roll used to finish the edges of the ridge and verge of a roof.
TOOLS NEEDED
- Fixings detail strip to Eaves and Verges:
Unroll detail strip onto roof along the eaves allowing for a 5cm drip edge.
Unroll detail strip onto roof along the verge (covering the eaves roll). Allow for a 5cm drip edge.
Nail back drip edges for both eaves and verge at 5cm centers.
- Fixing shingle strips:
Overlay the eaves detail strip with the first course of BARDOLINE shingles.
Install BARDOLINE shingles, as per the fixing instructions
- Fixing at Hips and Ridges:
Position and fold detail strip over ridge or hip abutment, apply a continuous bead of sealant adhesive 15mm from the strip edge and use a heat gun to bond to Bardoline shingles adhesive strips. On exposed sites complete fixing by nailing the edge of the detail strip at 15cm centres.
