BARDOLINE DETAIL STRIP
Bardoline Detail Strip is an asphalt shingle roll designed to finish the edges of a roof's ridges, eaves, and hips.
To install it, you lay the strip along the ridge of the roof so that it hangs equally on both sides. You then secure it with Felt Lap Adhesive and nail the lower edge every 15 cm.
This detail strip comes in a variety of colours to match the Bardoline Classic and Bardoline Pro shingle lines and is available at Wickes stores.

Fixings detail strip to Eaves and Verges:
Unroll detail strip onto roof along the eaves allowing for a 5cm drip edge.
Unroll detail strip onto roof along the verge (covering the eaves roll). Allow for a 5cm drip edge.
Nail back drip edges for both eaves and verge at 5cm centers.
Fixing shingle strips:
Overlay the eaves detail strip with the first course of BARDOLINE shingles.
Install BARDOLINE shingles, as per the fixing instructions
Fixing at Hips and Ridges:
Position and fold detail strip over ridge or hip abutment, apply a continuous bead of sealant adhesive 15mm from the strip edge and use a heat gun to bond to Bardoline shingles adhesive strips. On exposed sites complete fixing by nailing the edge of the detail strip at 15cm centres.
