Every great garden renovation starts with a vision. Gary wanted a dedicated social space where he could host friends, mix cocktails, and enjoy warm summer evenings without leaving the garden.

To bring his vision to life, Gary gave the structure a complete refresh:

• Bespoke Concertina Doors: Gary built his own custom concertina doors from scratch, allowing the bar to open seamlessly out onto the garden.

• Intricate Details: He fitted beautiful, vintage-style ironmongery for the hinges and locks, adding character and craftsmanship to the entrance.

• A Fresh Coat of Paint: A clean, modern lick of paint instantly modernised the timber exterior.

With the main structure looking fantastic, there was just one major problem left to address - the roof.

The original detached building had traditional roofing felt. Over time, the elements had taken their toll: the felt was torn, unsightly, and no longer watertight.

When considering replacement options, Gary initially looked at re-felting. However, knowing how quickly felt can degrade, he wanted a durable, stylish, and long-lasting alternative that matched the high standard of his new bar.

Working on a DIY project completely solo can be daunting, especially when tackling roofing. However, Gary was delighted by how straightforward the INNOLINE system proved to be.

While the exterior is completely weatherproof and looking top-tier, Gary isn't quite finished yet. He is taking his time to get the interior layout just right.

Gary will be completing the interior fitting and bar setup over the coming Spring, making sure everything is primed and ready to host the ultimate outdoor gatherings in Summer 2027. Thanks to his new INNOLINE roof, he can work on the interior completely worry-free, knowing the structure is 100% dry and protected from autumn rain and winter damp.
