The new shed in all its glory - swipe for a pretty dramatic makeover!

I’ve been dreaming of restoring the beautiful Victorian brick outhouse that I inherited since I took over my allotment garden in June 2017, so I was over the moon when @ondulineuk got in touch and asked to partner up on the project

Onduline offer eco friendly and sustainable roofing solutions, they pay close attention to their manufacturing process, designing products to be low in energy consumption and generating no dangerous waste. By using high-tech recycling processes, Onduline recycle around 80,000 tons of material each year and have achieved a positive carbon footprint, which is significantly lower than all other roofing providers!

I have always loved tiled roofs, so decided on the Onduvilla roof tile sheets in brown to create a similar effect (with a lot less hassle!) Underneath we used the Ondutiss vapour permeable membrane to create a secondary barrier and to minimise condensation drips.

The roof was ridiculously easy to put together, like a fun giant jigsaw puzzle - all of the pieces were just slotted together before securing with watertight screws (that drilled in like butter)

I absolutely adore my new roof, it looks like a tiny house and makes such a change from the shingle or felt you usually see on sheds (i actually bought a big roll of felt before @ondulineuk got in touch!)

The roof is super strong, sturdy enough to walk on and is guaranteed to last at least 15 years - so I’m really happy to have been able to restore this shed for the future keepers of plot 81.
