CASE STUDY: Shannon Keary’s allotment makeover

We were thrilled to collaborate with gardening enthusiast Shannon Keary, the creative mind behind Instagram’s @diaryofaladygardener, on an exciting garden shed and allotment project.
Shannon, an allotment owner based in Devon, decided to upgrade her shed and greenhouse area with Onduline roofing, aiming to create a more functional and weatherproof space for both gardening and storage.
Project overview
For this project, Shannon selected two of our signature roofing solutions: ONDUCLAIR PC polycarbonate sheets and ONDULINE CLASSIC corrugated roofing sheets in red. These were strategically used to define separate zones – a dedicated growing area and a storage shed - while ensuring both were fully waterproofed and protected from the elements.
The installation
Shannon began by applying ONDULINE CLASSIC in red to her shed. This durable, lightweight roofing material was the perfect choice for shielding the shed from rain and moisture, while adding a vibrant, stylish touch that blended beautifully with the natural surroundings of her allotment.
With the shed now fully waterproofed, Shannon moved on to the growing area, where she installed ONDUCLAIR PC polycarbonate sheets. These polycarbonate sheets were ideal for letting natural light flood into the space, creating an optimal environment for her plants to thrive, while safeguarding them from harsh weather.
The finished result
Shannon’s allotment is now home to a fully waterproofed shed, alongside a bright and airy growing area. The striking combination of the red ONDULINE CLASSIC sheets and the transparent ONDUCLAIR PC polycarbonate sheets not only enhances the overall aesthetic of the allotment but also provides year-round protection, keeping everything dry and secure.
